ACM Transactions on Information Systems (TOIS) publishes only the highest quality papers about the design and evaluation of computer software that helps people find, organize, analyze, and use information in a variety of media. No single metric indicates how well the journal meets this goal, so we provide a set of metrics.

During the period July 2008 - July 2010, TOIS accepted about 10% of the papers submitted to the journal. Many of the papers submitted to TOIS do not fit the journal's editorial scope and thus are rejected after only a brief examination.
